Services I offer

I offer individual counselling and coaching for adults of all ages, working with a wide range of personal and emotional challenges.

My particular areas of interest and experience are neurodiversity, emotional wellbeing and navigating significant changes in life. These often overlap, and we can focus on whatever is most relevant to you.

Neurodiversity

Being neurodivergent can influence how you experience the world, relate to others and manage everyday demands. Whether you’ve known about your ADHD or autism for years, have recently received a diagnosis, or are beginning to recognise certain traits in yourself, there may be things you’d like to understand or approach differently.

I have particular experience supporting neurodivergent adults with:

  • ADHD and autism, including late diagnosis or recognition
  • Overwhelm, burnout and emotional regulation
  • Confidence, self-esteem and self-acceptance
  • Relationships and communication
  • Managing work, study and everyday responsibilities

Emotional wellbeing

Sometimes it’s a particular event or experience that brings us to counselling. At other times, difficulties can build gradually, or we find ourselves dealing with familiar feelings and patterns that are becoming harder to manage.

I work with people experiencing:

  • Anxiety, stress and persistent worry
  • Trauma, difficult past experiences and their continuing impact
  • Low mood and depression
  • Self-doubt, low self-esteem and self-criticism
  • Overthinking and perfectionism
  • Burnout and feeling overwhelmed

Life changes and transitions

Change is part of life, but that doesn’t always make it easy or straightforward. Even positive or chosen changes can bring uncertainty, mixed feelings or questions about who we are and what we want next.

I work with people navigating:

  • Bereavement, grief and loss
  • Relationship and family changes
  • Career changes, redundancy and retirement
  • Significant changes in health or personal circumstances
  • Relocation and adjusting to a different environment
  • Questions about identity, purpose and future direction

Counselling and coaching

Alongside therapeutic counselling, I also offer coaching, drawing on my extensive professional background in this area.

Counselling and coaching can complement each other. Sometimes understanding what’s happening and why is the priority. At other times, it’s useful to consider options, decisions and practical ways forward.

We can draw on either or both approaches, depending on what you’re looking for.
